As a child, Nicole grew up fascinated by nature, but the magic of the African bush had an even more significant impact on her. As a result, her love for Africa was a natural birth that has become a passion in her life. Travel and touring also exposed her to the incredibly warm hospitality in Africa. The magic of safari travel was introduced to her by her father at a young age. Her Dad took her on her first trip into Africa, and after that, she could not resist tagging along on unforgettable and breathtaking adventures into areas that were not yet well known to anyone at the time.
Her passion for the African bush and travel grew exponentially. She devoted her personal time to self-improvement and studied many aspects of the wildlife ecosystems of Africa. She loves sharing her knowledge about nature with guests and clients all over the continent.
Nicole was allowed to do a hospitality apprenticeship and decided to leave Africa to travel to Europe. She completed her apprenticeship in Germany, and it is during this time of absence from Africa and the bush that her longing for Africa grew quicker and faster than she ever could have imagined.
On return to Africa and further exposure to the hospitality industry, she discovered that over and above her love for the bush, she is fundamentally also a people’s person.
Soon after doing her hospitality apprenticeship, she moved back to Namibia to become a Tour guide in Southern Africa. As a tour guide, she explored the Tourism Industry even more and figured that there are so much more to be developed. She fundamentally believes that the potential for growth and development is beyond any horizon, and it is her ambition to contribute to the growth of industry throughout the African continent. She is continuously searching for ideas and ways to uplift Africa to discover what can be done for Africa through Tourism?
She has grown beyond her own expectations and remains on a journey of discovery in Africa. Her next big step is joining SafariStaff International as a recruitment consultant. She believes that she can make a difference and a positive impact on the eco-tourism sector of Southern Africa by searching and placing exceptional staff in extraordinary environments such as Safari Lodges. Nicole is also in the process of developing her own travel brand, namely; Benvido Africa, which is a Namibian based DMC. In her capacity as owner and operator of Benvido Africa, Nicole will also continue to develop more tours and itineraries for guests wanting to travel through Africa.
